Great Dane in Ancient Egypt?

This dog is HUGE, but maybe the owner is just not important in the scene. Anyway, I thought it worth posting for the awesome dogginess!

So the cluster of three dots on the dog resonates with the use of the three dot cluster in Maya iconography, but there it is mean to signify a jaguar, a jaguar pelt, or a person that is jaguarian. Do you ever see that three dot cluster elsewhere in Egyptian iconography? (What if that is not a dog but a cheetah?)

Also, see Kerr vase 1185.

Maybe you should rename this one, and call it Jenny Studies whatever it is you're studying, and post about the crazy things you learn about now! --Matt B.
